Brenae is a female rapper whose name means “beautiful gift from God” and not only is it her middle name, it is also her alter ego. Born Chelsey “Brenae” Walker in Columbus, GA and now based in Atlanta, Brenae describes her music as melodic trap also known as “trap chanting” throughout the streets of the ATL. She typically uses her sound to project rhythmic phrases that can be shouted or chanted in unison. As an independent artist who is self taught, she is liberated to be able to create and be received by so many who love her versatile music. Brenae’s musical influences range from artists such Young Thug, T.I., Drake, Missy Elliott, Migos, and Tupac and she loves classics as well as underground music.
